Information from Cllr Chris Williams about the steps to the beach from The Glen
UPDATE – The improvement works will be carried out in the next few days. The contractor will have to close path while working but will open at the end of each day. PCC hope that the work will take about three days.
If you access the beach via the steps at the bottom of The Glen you will have noticed that they have been damaged in the recent storms. Cllr Chris Williams has reported this and Pembs CC are planning to start making some repairs on Thursday Nov 16th, weather permitting. This is likely to mean that the steps will be closed for public access for a day or so while the repairs are made.
PCC will also be assessing the safety of the access – especially the impact of the rather large hole that has developed under the lower part of the steps.
Cllr Williams will keep us posted of any more news and we will share it with you as soon as we know more.
