Three weeks ago, Saundersfoot Connect joined forces with Tin Man Tuesday to collect food for those in need this Christmas. Members were asked to collect dry and tinned food items, toiletries, toys – well, anything a family might use which will not spoil.

Lots of people responded and this week, organiser Ladan Harper took over 60 food parcels and generous cash donations to Pembrokeshire Food Bank in Narberth and PATCH HQ in Milford Haven.

“We were blown away by everyone’s generosity and kindness” said Ladan.  “As well as food staples, people donated baby clothes, children toys, festive foods…and so much more”.  Jackie Taylor who also manned the collection point said.  “We expected the fabulous folk of Saundersfoot to step up, but we were so touched with the number of people who donated in order to help make other peoples’ Christmas better.”

Pembrokeshire Food Bank were thrilled with the donations “The food will be used to make Christmas food bags to give support to referred families throughout our area“.  PATCH also gave their thanks “We are extremely grateful to Saundersfoot Connect members for donations and especially cash and toys. The toys will brighten Christmas for families across Pembrokeshire.“

Well done Saundersfoot!
