Message from Cllr Phil Baker:
Dear Saundersfoot Residents,
As I mentioned last week, I wanted to provide an update in regard to the roll out of plans for the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine programme in the Village.
Saundersfoot Medical Centre are keeping me in the loop with regard to the vaccine delivery and I can confirm that the logistical support plans are now complete for the use of The Regency Hall.
Once again everyone who has been asked for support have come up trumps, The Regency Hall have made all their rooms and facilities available, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority have provided exclusive car parking spaces for those receiving the vaccine. Saundersfoot Community Council have provided exclusive use of the small car-park and Saundersfoot Harbour Commission have also dedicated additional spaces on the harbour and delivered the gazebos for the individual pods in the hall.
A special thanks to Mr Darren Thompstone of Trueform Ltd who along with Blaine Sawyer built an all ability ramp at the hall on Saturday. In addition I have been overwhelmed by the offer of volunteers to act as marshals and car parking attendants.
I am positive that we will have news of the delivery of vaccine very soon and fully understand that residents are anxious and concerned, especially when seeing the progress elsewhere.
Please be assured that Saundersfoot Medical Centre will repeat the massive success of the flu clinic in October as soon as they have been provided with the vaccine. We will soon see our residents being called to The Regency Hall to receive their immunisation in a safe and orderly manner
The Medical Centre will contact you when your category is to be immunised.
Keep safe we are nearly there
