Helping keep people & businesses connected in and around Saundersfoot

Saundersfoot Connect was originally started in March 2020 as a Facebook group set up by four friends who live in the village, Sarah Whiddett, Sara Hicks, Jackie Taylor & Ladan Harper.  Its aim was to support residents and business owners in the village during the Coronavirus lockdown.  The group’s overarching mantra was, and still is, that people should only post to the group’s social media page if they could answer three questions with a positive answer:

is it kind, is it true, is it useful?

Initially intended to offer information and to keep people company (albeit online) the group quickly grew to a fabulous online community of over 3,300 members, full of positive, fun and informative posts.  The four girls had no idea just how successful it would be.

Aware that not everyone uses Facebook – and needing a place to store the huge amount of information that was being collated into an easily accessible format – Sara & Sarah of Pembrokeshire Business Support (known locally as Sarah with the blue hair & Sara without an aitch) along with more than a little help from Guy Willett from Pembrokeshire Web Design, set up this website which they hoped would be useful to all, not just during the current pandemic but in the future too as we found our new ‘normal’ and continued to support one another in our fabulous community.

You’ll find a wealth of information on here, together with a viewable link to our Facebook group (no need to join Facebook, you can just enjoy the contents of our page as it scrolls on by), regular updates and news.

We hope you enjoy the Saundersfoot Connect website.  Please get in touch if you’d like to see anything added, spot anything that’s not working quite right or have any ideas about new things you’d like to make happen.

To make contact the Saundersfoot Connect admin team, use the  ‘Contact Us’ page, by clicking here or the tab above.

So for now, stay safe, be kind and stay connected!

Can anyone help?
I have suddenly developed a very strange wart on the side of my nose. It's getting bigger by the day and appears every year around this time and then mysteriously disappears on November 1st. Weird. Plus I seem to have an overwhelming desire to adopt every black cat I see, and all my black clothes seem to have found their way to the front of the wardrobe. Fortunately I haven't seen any black cats yet. There's also a strange noise coming from the garage. A sort of whirring noise as if something is revving up. Perhaps it's the besom?
Do you think I should be worried or is it just a mild case of halloweenitis? I hope it's not contagious but I'll stay in just in case .

Better to stay in, you might get clobbered by a stray pumpkin!

The only cure is to drink more wine!

Hey Everyone...

Due to unforeseen circumstances we have decided to close for 7 days between 2nd November (Monday) till the 8th November (Sunday) … WE'LL be back open on Monday 9th November.....

Unfortunately roadworks outside our premise for that week will mean that there will be restricted access coming in and out of our restaurant and as business is already hampered due to the "firebreak" lockdown we've decided to give ourselves a nice weeks break...

Sorry for the inconvenience this will cause but we only knew about the road closure a few days ago and only until now have we decided to act upon it.

We're currently serving Take Away's and Deliveries with our last day being the 1st November (Sunday) .. so grab one now while you still can...

Stay Safe All...

Team Dragon.
